Valtrax Journal

Read the compound before the cart.

One dossier per compound: identity numbers, the primary preclinical record, how to read its test readout, and how to handle the lyophilized vial. No claims of human effect — just the data, sourced.

GHK-Cu: the copper tripeptide, read through the record

How a three-residue plasma fragment became the reference copper peptide for matrix and connective-tissue research

What it establishes

  • GHK is endogenous: it circulates near 200 ng/mL in young plasma and falls by more than half by the seventh decade — the decline is what first drew researchers to it.
  • The copper is structural, not optional. Activity across the literature tracks the GHK-Cu complex, never the bare tripeptide.
  • The firmest data sit in connective tissue — collagen and glycosaminoglycan synthesis in fibroblast culture and connective-tissue accumulation in rodent wounds.

How a dossier is built

Every entry follows the same four-part structure, so two compounds can be read side by side without re-learning the format.

01

Identity

Formula, molecular weight, CAS, and sequence — stated before any discussion of behaviour.

02

The primary record

What the original papers measured, cited to PMIDs you can open yourself.

03

Reading the readout

Which lines on a certificate carry the weight, and what each one is actually reporting.

04

Handling & status

Storage of the lyophilized vial, and where the compound sits with Health Canada.
